Typography
Two faces, doing different jobs. Fraunces carries voice; Hanken Grotesk carries information. Italics in the serif are a brand signal — use them with intent.
Why this pair
Fraunces reads as considered and human — warmth without clinical coldness — which fits a grounded, trusted-advisor voice. Hanken Grotesk stays open and unadorned for plain-language body and UI, so guidance never feels like a lecture.
Alternatives optimized for Office defaults (e.g. Merriweather / Source Sans / Space Grotesk) were considered for client-file rendering. We keep Fraunces + Hanken as the brand system; for decks and docs that leave our environment, use the fallbacks below so clients still see intended hierarchy.
Office & email fallbacks
Use when recipients may not have brand fonts installed (PowerPoint, Word, email). Do not treat fallbacks as a redesign of the brand pair.
A high-contrast old-style serif with warmth in its terminals. Quiet on the page until you look — then unmistakable. Use for display, headlines, and brand moments.
A warm, highly legible grotesque for everything functional — paragraphs, controls, captions, and code-adjacent UI.
Type scale
Pick a level, drag the viewport, and watch the type scale from desktop to mobile — px, rem, line-height, and tracking update live.
Italics are a signal
We help organizations work smarter.
Use the serif italic — usually in coral — to mark the verb, the promise, or the turn. One per headline. Never two.
